Don’t be caught standing on the bank and watching when you can enjoy the countless beautiful lakes and rivers of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a boat rental from Uncle Ducky’s UPMichigan Boat Rentals. We are an outdoors company that specializes in fishing boats, pontoons, canoes and kayaks which we use in our fishing charter and guide business and are set up to give you a boat with the best equipment necessary for catching fish. If you’re not into fishing, just a nice cruise on a pontoon or a paddling trip down a river or pristine lake that are found nearly everywhere in the central part of the Upper Peninsula will make your vacation complete.
If Lake Superior is calm, as is normally the case in June, July and August, the fishing is fantastic right off the breakwalls in the Marquette Harbors for Lake Trout and Salmon. Our pontoons are equipped with downriggers, rod holders, depth finders, and everything you need to fish for these tasty fish. If you don’t quite have the right fishing gear we can rent you some. They will easily carry up to 6 people. This is a real value for a Great lakes fishing experience. Little Bay de Noc at Gladstone, Michigan is on Lake Michigan and the pontoons also are fantastic for trolling and drift for the tasty walleye found here.
Lake Independence, Lake Michigamme, Big Shag Lake, Little Shag Lake, Au Train Lake, Fence Lake, Indian Lake, are all very good fishing lakes and have many resorts and rental cottages where you can have a fantastic summer or fall vacation to enjoy some fishing or just relaxing. Our pontoons or fishing boats are perfect here. They are equipped to fish. Electric trolling motors, depth finders, livewells, comfortable fishing seats are all there to make your experience more enjoyable.
Some folks even prefer to take our 14’ footers on road trips to the many lakes in the area. We can help you in planning where to fish for different species. All you need is a trailer hitch with 2” ball. Spend a week and fish a different lake every day.
Our Canoes and Kayaks are Old Town’s. Rugged and stable they are designed for small lakes and rivers. Great to fish or just to enjoy a leisurely paddling trip from. Get out in the bush and see the wildlife that we share God’s Country with. Moose, White-Tailed Deer, Black Bear, Loons, Beavers, Eagles, River Otters, Fox, Wild Ducks, you never know what’s just around that bend in the river. In the fall the leaves are just beautiful up here. The reds of the maples, the yellows and gold of the aspen, the white of the birch trees, and the green of the evergreens will make a short river trip just nothing short of fantastic.
Craig Lake State Park is about as close to canoeing in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota as it gets. This beautiful little lake nestled in granite rocks and great pine forests northwest of Lake Michigamme is an excellent place for a camping and fishing trip. With several islands Craig Lake is excellent for Northern Pike, Muskie, Walleye, and Smallmouth Bass. It covers about 600 acres. The park also contains Teddy Lake, Claire Lake and Crooked Lake and they are all accessible with a short portage. No motorboats are allowed here. Not even electric motor boats. Only canoes and kayaks with paddles. Campsites are on a first come basis and have firepits. Some have outdoor toilets The islands all have campsites as well as the shoreline. We can deliver canoes and kayaks and even offer guide services to learn the fishing on the lake.
Reservation Policy: To make a reservation we need name and address, lake name, contact numbers for home, cell, local i.e cottage, hotel, vacation house and credit card number. A deposit is required on all weekly rentals of $100.00 or 1/3 of the estimated rental charge whichever is more. A drivers license is also required. Should you wish to cancel outside of 7 days from the rental date there is no charge. Inside of 7 days it is full charge unless we can re-book the said equipment. We ask that you call one day before your delivery date to coordinate delivery details. We deliver to boat launches only we do not deliver to houses or cottages with lake access.
